LWML Quilters

From the “make do” generation of yesteryear cam the art of quilt making using left over materials from worn out garments, producing heirloom coverlets made of family wearing apparel precious and succeeding generations.

Every Monday morning at 10 am from two to ten women of the congregation gather in the church fellowship hall.  They can bring there own sewing machines creating quilts to become possessions of people half a world away.We have sewing machines available at church.   Also, quilters need helpers to sew and also tie quilts, as some members have moved away.

The materials come from corduroy pants, draperies, sheets, wool-ends, polyesters and cottons from the thrift shop and from donations.  The group is always ready to welcome new sewers in creating new works of art.
